Local firefighters deserve our thanks: Part 2 -- Georgetown

Georgetown's fire department was founded in 1961, with about 45 firefighters; currently the department has 29 firefighters and two administrative support persons. There are two stations: No. 1 in downtown, newer No. 2 is near the Maplewood Industrial Park. List of names and years of service: Fire Chief Terry (24); Deputy Chief David (18); Assistant Chief Billy (11); Ronald (11); Tim (EMT) (8); Sergeant John (7); Chaplain Danny (6); Captain Tom (5); and Sergeant/Paramedic Gary (4).
