Man intends to file lawsuit over Floyd Co. police shooting

Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson has said that Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Gene Perrot was justified when he fired five shots at Wells as the suspect drove toward the officer. A tort claim was mailed last week to the sheriff's department, county and police officers involved in the pursuit. According to the claim, those named have 90 days to settle the claim, or a lawsuit will be filed
