Lawsuit could have impact on county growth

The developers for the proposed subdivision of Heritage Springs are challenging the county on its decision to deny their building plans. A new ordinance gives the county Plan Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals regulatory authority over sewage plants. The developers feel that if the county is restricting their plant it would be impossible for any treatment plant to get approval. County officials say they have the authority and an obligation to regulate the plants.
