Former mayor investigated for impersonating deputy

Former Mayor Doug England is under investigation for allegedly claiming to be a sheriff's deputy after a confrontation with another motorist. The motorist who filed the complaint is David White, a Floyds Knobs resident and a cameraman for WDRB-TV.No formal charges have been filed. White later met with England, at which time England apologized. Since then, White has decided not to pursue any charges. File photo of England.
