Giving a helping hand

Photo: Floyd County AARP Chapter 3217 President Mary Dolan recently presented Julie Wilson, of LifeSpan Resources Inc., with an $800 check from the Tickets to Independence fund-raiser for the Transportation Department. The money will provide 400 miles of transportation services for 57 disabled and elderly persons to medical appointments, cancer treatment, physical therapy, dialysis, medication pick-up, nutrition sites and counseling.
