Homeland Security provides all hazards alert radios to Floyd County
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday the distribution of more than 8,300 all hazards alert radios thoughout the state, including about 91 in Floyd County. IDHS Executive Director Joe Wainscott said they have directed the county emergency management agencies to distribute the radios to people who may be low income and living in manufactured homes, which are more vulnerable to severe weather.
