Fire damages house on Elm Street

A house fire broke out around 5 p.m. Wednesday at 2520 East Elm St.. When firefighters arrived, an elderly man had already been rescued from the home by neighbors; he was taken to Floyd Memorial with unknown injuries. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Photograph accompanies the caption
