Greenway contract gets go ahead from board of works

A design contract impacting New Albany's next segment of the Ohio River Greenway was approved Tuesday, as officials agreed on a source of funds for the $119,600 deal. The firm HNTB was approved by the New Albany Board of Public Works and Safety to design upgrades for a portion of Water Street, which will allow the Greenway to proceed along the Ohio River from East 18th to East Eight Street. Assistant Director of Planning Scott Wood said Tuesday Deputy Mayor Carl Malysz "has identified sources of funding through the Redevelopement Commission" to fund the design work
