Local resident named to state arts executive committee

A Floyds Knobs resident has been named vice-chair of the Indiana Arts Commission's executive committee. Allen Platt, who serves as general counsel for Samtec, Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic connectors, with world headquarters located in New Albany, was recently elected to the position.
