KIPDA waiting on jobs bill and bridges

Updates under way on short and long-range transportation plans. Federal legislation is continuing to have an effect on local transportation projects as evidenced at the Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency meeting Thursday. The proposed "jobs bill" which would provide another round of stimulus funding to help revitalize the ailing economy has yet to pass a final version out of either house of Congress
