New Albany's NJROTC brings home 3rd consecutive award. Commander Joe Maynard, senior naval science instructor at the school, said the regular physical fitness tests and the teamwork to push one another are just some of the reasons the team recently received one the highest recognitions from the U.S. Navy, the Distinguished Unit Award, for the third year in a row. Maynard said each unit is judged on several aspects, such as community service, rifle team, color guard and more. Photographs accompany the article
