Fraze given deadline to reclaim dogs

Katherine Fraze, owner of Save the Dog Sanctuary, has until 3 p.m. today to pay a $3,363 fee to the New Albany-Floyd County Animal Shelter in order to reclaim the 41 dogs seized from her property Jan. 12. At 3:01 p.m., the dogs become property of the shelter. Paying the impound fee is only half of the problem, Fraze must also meet other conditions including having a proper place to live before the animals are released to her custody; the Floyd County Health Department has ruled that the trailer Fraze lives in on the property is uninhabitable
