Man reports attack outside New Albany gas station

A 20-year-old New Albany man reported to police that he was beaten outside the parking lot of an east end gas station on Vincennes and East Oak Street at about 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. The man said his friend stopped at the gas station and let him out of the car and drove off; he told police the store was closed so he waited for his friend to return. While he was waiting, several men allegedly accosted him and demanded money, when he told them he had no money, the men beat him until he was unconscious. When his friend arrived back at the gas station he transported him to Floyd Memorial Hospital
