School cornerstone box opened, yields mostly dust

Cornerstone of the old Spring Street Junior High School (dedicated in 1903) was opened. Charles Condra (former surveyor) said that the condition of the items inside was probably a result of the fact that the building (at E. Spring & Sixth Streets) was below the water line of the 1937 flood.. Pictures accompany the article.
