Schools look for ways to fund full-day kindergarten

Gov. Kernan is asking to have full-day kindergarten available to every student by 2007. Gov. Kernan suggests redirecting $30 million from lottery and gaming revenues and $11.5 million to the Common School Fund. Indiana appropriates $8.5 million presently to voluntary full-day kindergarten.
