Rapp recalls June 6, 1944

Thomas Rapp's boat landed on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. He was one of 6 New Albany residents to be drafted in World War II. Thomas Rapp received 11 combat medals. He also spent 5 months in a body cast and 5 months in rehab for wounds he received in battle.. Photograph accompanies the article.
