Valley View residents, city discuss future

A proposal for moving homes from Valley View Court to allow for the expansion of Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services was discussed. The city would like to use the relocated houses for first-time home buyers. The residents do not want their houses moved to an area that is presently used as a park.The residents will meet with Housing Authority officials and have a decision for the Mayor by May 12th.
