Commission approves first subdivision under new ordinance: The ordinance, which was enacted Jan. 1, dictates the design of the subdivision, but not where in the county certain developments can go. Katherine Estates, the 23-lot, 12 acre development off County Lind Road, was discussed extensively last night. In other business, the commission discussed a moratorium on the installation of new billboards in Floyd Co. until new language governing them can be adopted. The moratorium proposal would have to be advertised in a local newspaper before the commission could act, so the it can't be voted on until next month's meeting.
