Public weighs in on tax increases

"The public expressed both positive and negative reactions to the Floyd County Council last night about the idea of raising income taxes to offset $3.7 million in lost revenue [that formerly came from the business inventory tax, which has been eliminated]". One option the county has, to make up the lost revenue, is to raise property taxes; none of the Council members want to do that.. Other options: Raise EDIT or impose new type of tax (CAGIT: County Adjust Gross Income Tax).
