Time to apply yourself

The U.S. Census Bureau is still looking for more applicants to help fill jobs associated with the 2010 population count. About 2,500 positions will need to be filled locally, and so far the bureau has only received about 1,500 applications. The data will be used for the distribution of more than $300 billion in federal resources for roads, hospitals and other community services. Photographs accompany the article
