Phone scam continues to target local bank customers

Southern Indiana residents still receiving phone calls, e-mail. A telephone scam targeting customers at a local bank is still going strong more than three months after it was first reported. The bank received "several thousand" calls in a week from customers and non customers stating that someone claiming to be from the bank had called and requested personal information. The scam artists are now following up their automated telephone calls with fake e-mails instructing the recipient to call a phone number
