Washington County judge agrees to hear Theatair X case

A new hearing date has been set on a motion to dismiss five citations against adult bookstore Theatair X. Washington County Circuit Court Judge Robert Bennett has agreed to accept the case as a special judge. It was cited in May for holes between the peep show booths, inadequate lighting, doors on the booths and not having a straight line of vision from the front desk to the booths. The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the courthouse in Salem. Theatair X could be fined up to $2,500 per citation, according to the Clarksville ordinance
