Officials celebrate M. Fine project they helped create

Standing in a construction zone that they helped get started, Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan had the chance on Thursday to shake hands and boast about a new senior living facility going into the former M. Fine & Sons shirt factory in New Albany. The $15 million project is headed by Denton Floyd Real Estate Group, but it wouldn't have been possible without a $2.5 million Industrial Recovery Tax Credit from the state, which was matched by the city.
