Obituaries

John Peterson, the man whose attempt at suicide we recorded a few days ago, made, as we are informed, a second attempt and was successful. He is said to have, by some means, obtained a bottle containing oxalic acid, and swallowed a portion of it. This, in his already weakened condition, prostrated him, and death ensued about 12 o'clock last night. His funeral will take place on Sunday at 10 o'clock. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and also a member of the Masonic fraternity.
