Obituaries

Mrs. Catherine Buzby, wife of John Buzby, died at her home in Crandall, Harrison county last Wednesday, of paralysis. She lived nine days after the stroke and died calmly and triumphantly. Mrs. Buzby was born near Nashville, Tennessee June 6, 1814, her maiden name was Pitt. She came to New Albany when quite a girl and in 1837 was married to John Buzby and they lived here many years and for about thirty years have lived at Crandall. Her aged husband and two children, Mrs. John W. Melton, of Crandall, and Joseph Buzby of Owensboro, Ky., survive her. ...Her remains were interred in the City Cemetery, this city, on Friday last.
