New Albany native honored with UK endowment

Ron Akers, who graduated from New Albany High School in 1956, "has become one of the top sociologists and criminologist (sic) in the country. He has written 15 books and 75 articles on criminology and has been a college professor for over 30 years. He has received many awards but his greatest honor was recently bestowed upon him at the University of Kentucky."
