New Ferry Boat

Messrs. Tellon & Peterson have on the stocks a new ferry boat to ply between this city and Portland. She is to be 150 feet in length, and to be finished off in a superior manner. The engines and machinery are to be built at the foundry of Phillips, Hise, & Co. Messrs. Benedict & Carter, of Louisville, are having her built. We learn that it is the intention to run this boat to Louisville when the water will permit her going over the falls. If there should be found sufficient business, it is said that another boat will be immediately contracted for.
