Obituaries

On Saturday last a young man named Sylvester Tyler, son of Mr. Wm. L. Tyler, residing two miles south of Georgetown, was killed under the following circumstances: He was engaged in harrowing a field, with two horses, one of which he was riding. While passing a burning tree, the tree fell, killing one of the horses instantly and crippling the other, and inflicting such severe injuries on Mr. Tyler that he died in the course of three or four hours. Mr. Tyler was a most estimable young man, and we sincerely sympathize with his father and numerous relatives on this sad event, which has cast a gloom over their households.
