Brown in the alley between Lower Fourth and Lafayette and Market and Spring streets - loss trifling - reported in DLS Monday July 15, 1879 pg 4 col 1; stables on the alley between Bank & Upper Third and Elm & Oak - Brooks' stable consumed, house scorched, roof of Littell's stable burned, Judge Lafollette's dwelling slightly damaged - reported in DLS Tuesday July 29, 1879, pg 4 col 2
