Notice to Parents and Guardians

The Scribner High School will be opened for the reception of pupils on the first Monday in October next, under the charge of Mr. Geo. H. Harrison. The scholars will be admitted under the following rule: "All pupils from the other city schools who are over twelve years of age, of good moral character and who have passed the necessary examination in the branches taught in the Grammar schools. All of which must be certified by the principal teacher. Pupils who do not enter from the Grammar schools must furnish the certificate of their last teachers that they are over twelve years of age, of good moral character, orderly and obedient, and sufficiently advanced in the course of study adopted in the city Grammar schools to be advanced to the high school." All certificates to be filed with the Clerk on or before Saturday, Oct. 1st at 12 o'clock noon. In all other cases application must be made to the Board of Superintendents in writing.
