Iron Front
We noticed at the foundry of Lent, South & Shipman yesterday a lot of new pillars intended for the iron front of Brooks & Campbell's building. They are of an elegant pattern, and will compare favorably with any similar work done in the West. This is the first job of the kind our foundries have ever had, but in the course of a few years the demand for such work will no doubt be very great. An iron front is more durable than any other kind while it is about as cheap, and much more elegant. They are becoming quite plenty in all our large cities and we hope they will soon become fashionable here.
