The act of the County Commissioners in establishing a new voting place in our city has been the subject of considerable remark, but not as much, we believe, as the importance of the subject demands. A number of legal gentlemen say that if a second poll is opened in accordance with the order of the Commissioners it will be illegal, while others assert to the contrary. It seems to us that the proceeding is plainly and entirely illegal, and if so it should not be allowed. Our columns are open to any one who can show the legality of this movement. Let us have light on this subject. it is an important one and should be thoroughly investigated.
