Land transfer delayed

Two dozen homes were removed from E.Cottom Ave. for the expansion of Floyd Memorial Hospital. The homes were to be moved to Linden Meadows. The Redevelopment Commission was to consider a resolution on the land transfer but that was delayed. Residents have filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction stating the land was to be used for recreational purposes. The Plan Commission is expected to hear the matter at its meeting. The Board of Zoning Appeals may consider a variance because the size of the lots are smaller than the 60-foot minimum.
