Local libraries open doors to all residents

Recently, directors with the Floyd County, Jeffersonville Township, Charlestown-Clark County and Harrison County libraries agreed to allow card holders who live in one of those three Southern Indiana counties to borrow from any library in the tri-county area free of charge. Before the new agreement, a resident in Clark County who wanted to check out items at the NA-FC Public Library had to purchase a card for around $36 a year. With the new agreement, the patron still has to be issued a separate card from Floyd County, but does not have to pay for it; that rule applies to all three counties
