Interim title becomes permanent for Briscoe

Bill Briscoe, who has been interim director of elementary education, becomes permanent director.. Also -- School Board approves "next step for the renovation of the county's two junior high schools into middle schools as well as the construction of a new middle school in Floyds Knobs.". Initial work on new middle school (Floyds Knobs) scheduled for July 11. This school is expected to be ready for students in the fall of 2004. School superintendent says a name will be chosen next year.
