Garner working on adult business ordinance

A special City Council committee has been researching rulings on adult bookstores. They plan to present a proposed ordinance at the council meeting on Thursday. A 6-month moratorium on adult businesses has been passed to regulate the openings. Residents have pointed out that the business is across the street from a church and is within 100 feet of a school bus stop. Councilman Dan Coffey is leading the special council committee. He has asked the council to appropriate $100,000 to put toward legal fees.
