Linden clears hurdle at exciting zoning meeting

A number of people who are opposed to a variance [which would allow the placement of 23 houses on lots in Howard McLean park (Linden Meadows)] that CHDO (Community Housing Development Organization) requested, attended the Board of Zoning Appeals meeting last night.. Don Jensen, one of them, spoke to the group. His "family (Fawcett family) are the original owners of the land". "He gripped the podium, using it for support, bumped his head and stood motionless as several people rushed to his aid. Emergency personnel were called, but were called off when Jensen composed himself, spoke to the board and returned to his seat.". The houses originally were located in an area which Floyd Memorial is clearing to make room for expansion of the hospital.
