Floyd County Plan Commission begins search for new director

Beverly Smith has been an employee of the Plan Commission for more than 30 years. She is ill and unable to work. There is now a search for a new executive director. The commission is also searching for a professional planner who would help implement the new subdivision ordinance. The subdivision ordinance guides design and construction but not location. The planner would also work on a new zoning ordinance.
