Local road in dire need of repair

Spring Street Hill has concerned officials for some time.. The road is one of 3 entrances to Silver Hills.. Erosion has caused the road to lean and begin sliding on both sides. Large cracks could cause a tire to become caught and the car would slide off the road. The guardrail is rusty and appears weak.. The Board of Works and Public Safety has asked an engineer to submit a report in 2 weeks.. Needed funds for a $1 million improvement will be hard to come by. Mayor Garner said they could possibly use Tax Increment Finance (TIF) dollars or Economic Development Income Tax (EDIT) money.. Photograph of the road accompanies the article.
