Floyd Memorial hosts Diabetes Fair and Foot Screening Saturday

Floyd Memorial's Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate and Wound Healing Center will host a free Diabetes Fair and Foot Screening from 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at the hospital's Paris Health Education Center, 1850 State St.. The event will feature free foot screenings, free blood sugar and A1C testing, booths offering information on a variety of diabetes-related topics, including weight management, wound healing/prevention, and diabetes-related diet and exercise tips, as well as lots of free giveaways. Foot screenings will be performed on a first-come-first-serve basis and will not require an appointment; shoes and socks must be removed for the screenings
