Loop appointed County police chief

Sheriff Randy Hubbard has appointed Lt. Frank Loop as his Chief of Police.. Sheriff Hubbard said the department has grown and he needs someone to share the responsibilities.. Lt. Loop has worked in the department since 1983 and has held nearly every position.. As a recent graduate of the FBI National Academy, Lt. Loop has the education and experience needed for the position.. He has served as Metro SWAT Commander since the team formed in 1994. Recently, Lt. Loop has been lieutenant in charge of training, grant programs and fleet management.. Photograph of Lt.
