Lighting up downtown New Albany

New Albany firefighters were busy this week hanging Christmas lights in time for Saturday's Light-Up New Albany event. The festivities are from 2 to 6 p.m. and will be held in the MainSource Bank parking lot, at Spring and State streets, and at the Floyd County YMCA. There will be toy giveaways at 2:30 and 5:15 p.m., pictures with Santa are from 3 to 5 p.m., and the tree lighting is at 5:45. Photograph accompanies the caption
