INDOT: Cables still coming to I-64,65

The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to install cable safety barriers on parts of Interstates 64 and 65 as well as the entire length of Interstate 265 in Clark and Floyd counties. After bids are collected, it could be summer 2009 before cable barriers are put into place. INDOT estimates barriers will cost about $20 million statewide. The barriers have been installed along Interstates 64 and 71 near Louisville as well as the Gene Snyder Freeway
