Man receives 50-year sentence in violent home invasion

A Louisville man was sentenced to 46 years in prison and four years probation for the violent home invasion and robbery of a New Albany couple. James W. Roberson pleaded guilty to class A felony robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. On Jan. 9 two men allegedly approached the couple at their residence on the 1800 block of Conservative Street and demanded money; one of the men shoved the female victim to the ground and broke her leg -- her husband was reportedly Tased 30 times.
