Local CPA firm celebrates milestone by supporting cause

Monroe Shine, Certified Public Accountants, with offices in Suthern Indiana and Central Kentucky, recently kicked off their 80th anniversary in 2005, with the unveiling of their anniversary logo and details of the ensuing celebration year. The celebration will include supporting Wounded Warriors. Wounded Warriors, a project developed and administered by the United Spinal Association, offers assistance to those in our armed forces who have been severly injured during the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world."". Monroe Shine began in New Albany in1925 with the office of William Stein. ""The practice was sold to a Louisville firm in 1937 and V. G. Monroe became the manager. In 1950, the firm became Brown and Monroe. V. G. Monroe and J. R. Shine separated from the Louisville firm in 1963. The 1960's brought rapid growth and soon they built their existing headquarters in downtown New Albany...
