Floyd County Council to meet today

Due to a day-long budget workshop, the Floyd County Council will meet at 4 p.m. today at the Pine View Government Center, instead of the usual time of 6 p.m. One of the items on the agenda is a request from Floyd County Parks Superintendent Roger Jeffers for $700,000 for the new Kevin Hammersmith Memorial Park.
