Girl looks overseas to spread some holiday cheer

Photo: Kaydi, a second grade student at Green Valley Elementary School, inspired her classmates to give up the cost of one gel pen each week, about 50 cents, to donate to orphaned and abandoned children in Romania. About 60 second grade students managed to raise $56.05 for Eastern European children.. Kaydi took an interest in the plight of Romanian children last year after Lois Wadsworth, regional representative for the not-for-profit group Remember-The-Children, visited her first grade class at Floyds Knobs Elementary School..
