Ind. schools' chief: Unions to vague on reforms

Indiana public schools chief Tony Bennett criticized the head of the state's largest teachers union for failing to clearly and specifically state his position as the two continued to fight over proposed school reforms. Bennett says the Indiana State Teachers Association must back planned school reforms for Indiana to be successful in applying for up to $250 million in federal stimulus funding through the Race to the Top program. ISTA president Nate Schnellenberger and IFT president Rick Muir replied that they would help rework the state's application but couldn't fully support Bennett's plans
