Five seek Republican nomination for U.S. Senate

After being soundly defeated in 2008, Republicans hope to rebound in November feeding off Tea Party protests and discontent with the federal government. Republicans know a key race if they are to erase or significantly reduce the Democrats' 59 to 41 advantage in the U.S. Senate is in Indiana where popular Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh decided not to seek reelection. The candidates are: Dan Coats, Marlin Stutzman, John Hostettler, Don Bates Jr. and Richard Behney
