Horseshoe hands out spring grants

In 11 years, the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County has pumped $21.2 million back to nonprofits to benefit residents in New Albany and Floyd County. Wednesday afternoon, 36 organizations benefited from the foundation's generosity by receiving grants totaling $398,085. Three organizations -- New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation, New Albany Police Department and the Arts Council of Southern Indiana -- each received $25,000
